TUNE-UP Special

Monitor refrigerant pressure

Check and Adjust Thermostat control

Check operation during a normal cycle

Check air Filter and clean if necessary

Inspect Blower assembly/clean if necessary

Inspect Blower belt adjust tension make or replace

Lubricate and inspect condition of all motors and bearings

Install gauge, check refrigerant operating pressures

Check Voltage and Amperage on condenser circuit

Check temperature drop across evaporator coil

Check for proper condensate drainage from evaporator, Clean drain if necessary

Check condition of line set and insulation around condenser and evaporator connections. Re-insulate if necessary

Check condenser coil

Check system through complete cycle to test for proper operation after completion of tune-up

Examine installation quality

Examine equipment condition area, and clearances

Clean condenser coil

• Observe the condition of the chimney and outside vents
• Check, clean and adjust thermostat control and electrical connections
• Check operation of system during a cycle to identify any conditions
• Check adequacy of air for combustion and dilution and check venting
• Check carbon monoxide levels near furnace/boiler and at heat registers
• Inspect condition of heat exchanger
• Inspect condition of burners and pilot assembly, clean if necessary
• Test condition of ignition system and flame sensing device, replace
thermocouple if necessary
• Check proper operation operation of gas safeties, fan safeties, fan
limits and/or pressure valves
• Check voltage and amperage of indoor blower motor or circulating
pump motor
• Inspect condition of blower belt and adjust tension or replace if
necessary
• Lubricate and inspect condition of motors, circulating pump and blower
assembly
• Check condition of air filter, clean washable filter
• Check manifold pressure
• Check immediate area of furnace/boiler for gas leaks
• Check gas burner usage by clocking meter
• Calculate temperature rise
• Check system through complete cycle to test for proper operation after
completion of tune-up
