Covid-19 Update

As the global community responds to the coronavirus outbreak, please be assured that Colonial Heating & Cooling has activated company-wide safety measures to protect our customers as well as our team members. Our Safety Response Team is communicating daily to assess and address the evolving requirements of this situation and the specific needs of our customers and team members.

The health and well-being of our customers, team members, and communities is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers and associates as the situation evolves.

As a company that is based on service to your home or business, we are asking customers that require on-site service from our associates if anyone in their home has or has had symptoms that the CDC has identified as being related to the virus.

Symptoms may include fever, cough, or shortness of breath within the last 14 days. We appreciate your honesty and assistance as we do our part in helping to end this outbreak.

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

As always, our team members are ready to respond to your questions. However, we are taking the following precautions to ensure our collective health and well-being: Wearing nitrile gloves to prevent hand contact with your home’s surfaces; Wiping down areas where work is done; and when possible, applying the recommended social distancing of six feet from others to prevent person-to-person transmission.

PROTECTING OUR EMPLOYEES

To protect employees, Colonial Heating & Cooling is taking the following measures: Canceling non-essential business travel; Utilizing technology for large group meetings and canceling any planned gatherings; Reinforcing good hygiene practices such as frequent hand washing, and asking customers who are feeling ill and have an appointment to please reschedule you appointment.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released the following guidance: Learn about the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.

STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK OR IF SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME IS SICK  and individuals at risk of severe illness should consider staying at home to avoid others who are sick.

Regularly disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, keyboards, cell phones, and light switches.

Communicate and reinforce best practices for washing hands and covering coughs and sneezes.

Please know Colonial Heating & Cooling is following the guidance from the CDC as well as the State of Michigan’s emergency operations center.
